1. Introduction
TextHumanizer ("we," "us," "our," or "Company") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website and use our text humanization service. We have designed our service around the principle of privacy by default: we minimize data collection and never retain user-submitted text.
2. Information We Collect
We collect minimal information. Specifically:
Free Tier Users: If you use our free tier without creating an account, we collect no personally identifiable information. Your session is entirely anonymous.
Paid Account Users: If you create a paid account, we collect: (a) your email address for account creation, billing, and communication purposes; (b) payment information processed securely through Stripe (we do not store credit card data); (c) usage metadata (date and time of requests, number of words processed, selected tone modes) for billing and service analysis.
Technical Data: Our web servers automatically log standard HTTP information including IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and timestamps. This data is used for security, troubleshooting, and anonymous usage analytics.
3. Information We Do NOT Collect or Retain
This is critical to understand: TextHumanizer operates under a zero-retention policy for user text. We explicitly do NOT:
(a) Store your submitted text (Input) after processing;
(b) Store your humanized output (Output) after returning it to you;
(c) Log or retain the content of any text you process, whether in plaintext, encrypted form, or any other format;
(d) Analyze your text for purposes other than generating real-time Output;
(e) Use your text to train or improve our machine learning models;
(f) Share your text with third parties under any circumstances;
(g) Retain metadata about the content of your text (topics, keywords, etc.).
Text is processed in-memory during your request and immediately discarded from our servers once the response is sent to your browser. We maintain no permanent record of any user-submitted content.
4. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
Service Delivery: Processing your requests, generating humanized text output, and maintaining service stability.
Billing and Account Management: Creating accounts, processing payments, issuing invoices, and tracking usage quotas for paid plans.
Product Improvement: Analyzing aggregate, anonymized usage patterns (e.g., which tone modes are most popular, average processing time) to improve our algorithms and service quality. This analysis is performed on aggregated data that cannot identify individual users.
Security and Fraud Prevention: Detecting and preventing abuse, fraud, and security threats to our service.
Communication: Sending account notifications, billing information, service updates, and responding to inquiries. Paid users may receive occasional marketing emails, which can be opted out of at any time.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use minimal cookies:
Functional Cookies: We use a single session management cookie to maintain your login state if you have a paid account. This cookie is essential for the Service to function properly for authenticated users.
Analytics: We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics platform that does not use cookies or track individual users. Cloudflare Web Analytics provides aggregated, anonymized site traffic data only.
We do NOT use: advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, retargeting cookies, or any mechanism designed to track you across websites.
6. Third-Party Services
Our Service integrates with third-party services:
Stripe (Payment Processing): For paid accounts, we use Stripe to process payments securely. Stripe handles all credit card data and maintains PCI DSS compliance. TextHumanizer never stores or accesses your credit card information directly. Please review Stripe's Privacy Policy for details.
Cloudflare (Hosting and CDN): Our website and API are hosted on Cloudflare's global CDN and DDoS protection network. Cloudflare acts as a service processor and does not retain your text content. Please review Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.
We do not share your personal information with any other third parties beyond Stripe (for payment processing only).
7. Data Security
We implement comprehensive security measures to protect your information:
Encryption in Transit: All communication between your browser and our servers uses HTTPS/TLS encryption (minimum TLS 1.2).
No Persistent Storage of Text: Because we do not store user text, there is no data at rest to compromise. This is our primary security strategy for protecting text content.
Infrastructure Security: We use Cloudflare's global infrastructure with DDoS protection, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and continuous monitoring.
Access Controls: Employee access to systems is restricted and logged. We do not retain text data, so even in the unlikely event of a security incident, user-submitted text cannot be compromised.
Despite these measures, no security system is 100% foolproof. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we maintain industry-standard safeguards.
8. Children's Privacy
TextHumanizer is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete such information and terminate the child's account if applicable. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at privacy@texthumanizer.com.
9. International Data Transfers
TextHumanizer is hosted on Cloudflare's global edge network, which operates in multiple countries and regions worldwide. By using our Service, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer of your information to countries outside your country of residence, which may have different data protection laws. For EU and UK users, we implement Standard Contractual Clauses and rely on Cloudflare's adequacy mechanisms to ensure transfers comply with GDPR requirements.

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:
Right of Access: You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

11. GDPR Compliance (EU Users)
If you are located in the European Union, European Economic Area, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to our processing of your personal information. Our lawful basis for processing is: (a) Contractual Performance: Processing your email and payment information is necessary to provide paid account services; (b) Legitimate Interests: Analyzing aggregated usage patterns to improve our service and prevent fraud.
We do not use personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority if you believe we have violated your GDPR rights. Contact details for EU Data Protection Authorities are available at https://edpb.europa.eu/.

Right to Delete: You can request deletion of personal information collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties. This right does not apply to TextHumanizer.

We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy and, for significant changes, by sending you an email notification if you have a paid account. Your continued use of TextHumanizer following the posting of a revised Privacy Policy means that you accept and agree to the changes.
